Point of Sale, usually called POS, is Odoo's front-office application for shops, restaurants, retail counters, showrooms, and other scenarios where cashiers need to sell quickly. It connects product management, pricing, payments, receipts, invoicing, loyalty programs, self-ordering, and stock movements.
In an implementation project, POS is often more sensitive than ordinary backend workflows because users operate it in front of customers. Product loading speed, receipt layout, payment method setup, cashier permissions, printer compatibility, and stock deduction all affect the real checkout experience.
